Fun getting out on the bike today just as the total eclipse of the sun was starting - somewhere else (only a partial eclipse here in Central Massachusetts). Temp was low 80's, moderate humidity - felt great having on this new sleeveless jersey that respectfully thanks drivers for 3 feet clearance.
One of the best things about summer riding is freshly made summer dinner featuring fully flavorful right-off-the-field no-kidding vine-ripened tomatoes that I love getting at Berberian's Farm in nearby Northborough, MA. As posted recently on the Gotta' Eat, Can;'t Cook site, two of my favorite ways to enjoy fresh tomatoes are with fresh basil and mozzarella cheese and...
...with fresh basil (yep, again), feta cheese, sliced red onion, and garlic as shown here.
Have mozzarella and some fresh Thai basil I got from Berberian's the other day. I'll enjoy those with one of the heirlooms I got from Nourse Farm (another favorite place of mine) at our town's farmers' market last week. Will be killer!
